An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our company as a self-employed Companion that will provide a high standard of domiciliary care in the Thorney / Peterborough / Cambridgeshire area. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person that has an empathetic and genuine caring nature. We aim to assist people so that they can remain independent and obtain a good quality of life for as long as possible within their own homes. We do not provide personal care.

Duties and responsibilities:

> Providing companionship and trips out for a gentleman in the Thorney, Cambridgeshire area. 

10 hours a week, can be split in a flexible way for when you are available.

Must include a Wednesday at 12-2 to drop him off at a dementia club in Peterborough.

> Providing household chores for a gentleman in the Elm, Wisbech area every other Friday at 10-12.

Essential criteria:

  • Good communication skills. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written

  • To be honest, reliable, punctual and adaptable to meet the service users needs

  • Caring and empathetic having a genuine interest in people

  • A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge base and skill set with our in-house training programme

  • Common sense and the ability to remain calm and use problem solving skills if conditions or situations change

  • Ability to drive with a car and a driving licence; with business car insurance

  • PLEASE NOTE: All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS from the update service.

Desired criteria:

  • Experience and qualifications in adult social care.
