Registered Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our company that provides domiciliary care in Peterborough and the Fenland area. We are looking for an enthusiastic manager with proven experience and excellent leadership skills to work for Friends For Needs Ltd. We provide a high standard of domiciliary care for people so that they can remain independent and obtain a good quality of life for as long as possible within their own homes. We are looking for the right person to help us take the business to the next level by adding personal care to the list of our services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Initial task will be to take the lead in registering Friends For Needs with the CQC, ensuring that we comply fully with all the requirements

• Identifying and recruiting companions and healthcare staff, training and scheduling and managing their work rota

• Prepare and present reports for the Board of Directors

• Delegating effectively and appropriately 

• Ensure all staff adhere to and work within the policies and procedures established in the organisation

• Follow up on enquiries, signing up new service users and assigning the appropriate companion. 

• Promote the professional development of staff, safeguard and protect the health and well-being of our services users

• Work in partnership with family’s, local authorities and external agencies

Essential Criteria: 

• Demonstrate a strong background and knowledge of the care sector 

• Experience in a senior or leadership role with previous service management experience 

• A strong leader able to manage, motivate, delegate and support workers 

• Have a good understanding of regulatory requirements within the care sector including CQC local authority and safeguarding procedures 

• Well organised with excellent verbal and written communication, administrational and accurate record keeping skills  

 

Desired Criteria: 

Have completed a recognised care management qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or above

Be willing to complete qualification in care management NVQ Level 5

Have good IT skills 

 

Benefits: 

Salary £25,000 - £29,000 Depending on experience

We are looking for enthusiastic caring people that have an empathetic and genuine caring nature. We aim to assist people so that they can remain independent and obtain a good quality of life for as long as possible within their own homes. We do not provide personal care.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

We provide help inside of the home such as general household chores, meal preparation, making and changing bedding, and laundry. Loneliness is a big problem for some people, so we offer a listening ear, or company to play a game of cards or just time to have a good chat over a cup of tea. 

We provide assistance for people outside of the home, which may include: a visit to a coffee shop, garden centre or restaurant. Activities such as walking in parks or woodlands areas. Tasks may include accompanying a person to a hospital, doctors or dental appointment, or it could be to accompany them with their shopping or to do their shopping for them.

Essential criteria:

Good communication skills. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written  

To be honest, reliable, punctual and adaptable to meet the service users needs

Caring and empathetic having a genuine interest in people 

A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge base and skill set with our in-housetraining programme 

Common sense and the ability to remain calm and use problem solving skills if conditions or situations change

Ability to drive with a car and a driving licence

 

Desired criteria:

Experience and qualifications in adult social care..

Benefits:

Salary £9 - 14 per hour, plus travel expenses for mileage incurred when working with a service user.
